  14. This is the first time i've ever posted to a newsgroup so I hope to have 
  15. success.

  17. I have an internal USR modem (33.6 Kbps)
  18. Sometimes when I'm on the internet I get my connection cut off.
  19.    Half the time I can just redial and get back on without exiting 
  20. netscape or trumpet. The other half the time my modem totally locks up on 
  21. me, and my only choice is to turn my computer on, and then turn my 
  22. computer off.

  24. Does anyone have an alternative and more simple solution to this 
  25. "Lock-up" problem (besides using an external modem). Thanks
